You have to have been working for at least ten years before you decide on becoming a manager so that you will have gained enough experience needed for this position. Working as a team leader is also a good experience that will help you become a better executive manager later on. 

3. Responsibility 

Being a manager is a big responsibility. You have to be responsible for handling several tasks at once. You have to think fast for you to be able to manage everything correctly. Being a manager is a stressful position. It requires a lot of thinking and problem-solving. The responsibilities of being a manager are many so it is wise if you are the type of person who can easily handle stressful situations

4. Skills in Decision-making 

You need to be able to make decisions quickly and efficiently. You need to know how you can handle any situation that will arise while you are managing your staff and your company at the same time. If you know how to deal with crises effectively, then you will surely get far in your career as an executive manager. 

5. Good Leadership Skills 

You need good leadership skills if you wish to become an executive manager. It is not enough that you know how to make decisions and how to manage people, but you must also know how to lead your employees and your company towards success and growth and this will require good leadership skills from you. Without good leadership skills, you cannot become an effective executive manager because then your employees will not follow or listen to your instructions and this may cause problems for your company in the future.
